Important information – for data receipients

  • The release contains changes for all D-A-CH community profiles.
  • A Reload of already received data is NOT necessary after the release.
  • We recommend that all changes to the release be implemented in your interfaces and internal systems in order to maintain complete and correct data records in the future, as well.
  • The XML interface description for the D-A-CH community is available in the Download Center.

 

Important information – for data suppliers

  • The release contains changes for all D-A-CH community profiles.
  • All data in the data pool remain valid  -a migration of already sent data is not required.
  • If you are supplying your data machine-to-machine (M2M), we recommend that you use the XML release notes in the XML interface description for the D-A-CH community to check whether and what changes are to be made in your interfaces and internal systems to be able to provide complete and accurate data in the future. This applies in particular to those with medical devices or with items in the areas of animal feeding and organic products for target market Austria.

 

RELEASE DETAILS

Implementation of DQG Standard 2.6 (DE only)

Further Data Quality Gate (DQG) rules for the German target market profile will be implemented with release 6.11. The standard 2.6 includes new rules on animal and vegetable products, fruit and vegetables, temperature indications and cosmetics. These new rules are again implemented as warnings.

All DQG rules are documented in the Profiles Overview document.

Code list updates / GDSN Efficient Code List (ECL) Release  (FMCG and DIY only)

  • Local packaging marked label accreditation code reference [M310]: Update of the code descriptions for codes NIX18 and ZWANGERSCHAPSLOGO (FMCG DE, AT, CH)
  • Allergen type code [M029]: New codes from the GDSN ECL release are added (FMCG DE, CH)
  • Fish and seafood: Catch method code [M126]: New codes from the GDSN ECL release are added (FMCG DE, AT, CH)
  • Packaging marked expiration date: Type [M223]: New codes from the GDSN ECL release are added (FMCG DE, CH und DIY DE)
  • Packaging marked label accreditation code [M309]: New codes from the GDSN ECL release are added (FMCG, DE, AT, CH and DIY DE)
  • Trade item trade channel [M334]: New codes from the GDSN ECL release are added (FMCG DE, CH)

 

Enhance hierarchie level for External file link information (all D-A-CH profiles)

The external file link information, i.e. all attributes for the digital assets management (DAM) [also called “image data attributes”) will become available on all hierarchy levels in the D-A-CH community with the November release. The information until then is possible on lowest level only. Thus, for example, images for trays and displays can be provided and assigned to the corresponding hierarchy level.

 

Update of the Global Product classification (GPC)

The new GPC release (version June 2018) is adopted and available on https://www.gs1.org/standards/gpc/jun-2018. 1WorldSync has compiled an overview of the changes by the GPC update in a delta file. Please remember that 1WorldSync does not make any code adjustments or changes. Check whether your items are affected by changes or deletions and send the change of this item with newly assigned code as soon as possible after the GPC update. All data recipients are to check their subscription criteria for necessary changes due to the GPC update.

If you wish to download the GPC as German-language files, you can find them on the GPC website of gs1.org under GPC translations. Chose “German” Language and “Jun 2018” Downloads. You will then be asked to prompt your name, email address and company name. After that you will receive an email with a link to start the download of a zip-file with the German translation.

 

Changes in Web-UI for AGRO profile

With release 6.11, requirements of the Web Ui/WS-Publishing users are implemented for the AGRO profile.

Restriction of Level of Containment code list for FMCG CH (added to Release Notes on Nov 6th, 2018)

Code UNDECLARED removed from restricted code list for Level of containment code [M024, M026, M030, M042, M097] for target market Switzerland.
Code FREE_FROM removed from restricted code list for Level of containment code for Allergens [M030] for target market Switzerland.

 

Solved Tickets (Bug Fixes)

Ticket TSE-917 Nonfood ingredient statement / Language [M174] must not be repeatable for the same language

Ticket TSE-1947 Handling instructions code [M228] shall only allow specificed codes within the D-A-CH community

 

Known Issues

– Additional information: Convenience level [%]  [M033] > > Attribute is visible in WS Publishing UI for target market Austria items although it is not part of the target market Austria profile. Will be hidden again with next release.

Is there any need for action?

Both as Web UI/WS Publishing and as a machine-to-machine/M2M user, you need to take action if you want to use the new attributes and/or use the changed attributes and code lists.
