Our latest improvement In Machine Learning: conspicuous features With nutritional information

With release 6.11 we introduce our latest feature Machine Learning, a detection method for abnormalities in the nutritional information of articles classified for food within the GPC. Machine Learning uses the huge article database and compares the current article opened in the editor or selected in the hit list with similar articles in the database and is thus able to recognize patterns and give hints about possibly unusual nutritional values.

The scope of the audit of publishing includes the following anomalies in relation to nutritional information:

  • Checking the articles whether the base quantity for the nutritional information is based on 100 ml or 100 gr, depending on the commonly used base for similar articles
  • checking whether certain nutrients have been unusually added or whether nutrients normally declared for similar articles are missing
  • Checking whether a nutrient concentration has been declared that appears unusual in comparison with similar products
  • checking whether the values for certain nutrients are unexpectedly high or low or even untypical for this type of article
  • Check that the total amount of fats and carbohydrates contained in the product is equal to the sum of its sub-elements (e.g. carbohydrates are separated into sugars, starches, etc.)

Current article Clones And As Part Of The Hierarchy Add

Surely you are also aware of the fact that in many cases many attributes and their values remain the same across all levels of the hierarchy, e.g. nutritional information or brand names, to name but two. But when a packaging item is added to a base level, all this information has to be re-entered.

With a new functionality in the Hierarchy Editor we offer you the possibility to copy the current article with all its attributes (of course the GTIN is excluded) and to add it to the hierarchy as a subordinate or superordinate element. In this way, the tedious manual entry of redundant data is no longer necessary and you have more time for the essential.

New combination possibilities In The Smart Search

We have made some adjustments to Smart Search in Publishing.

In the previous version you could only select one of the many criteria of the Smart Search, but the Smart Search with release 6.11 offers you the possibility to combine any search criterion with AND. Simply place your markers on the correct radio options and you can search for all published articles of a particular dealer that have CIC status Received, for example.

In addition, we have slightly modified the Smart Search in terms of layout and usability.

M2M Improvement For Digital Asset Management

If you provide article information as a hybrid supplier, you can enrich these M2M articles with digital asset information within publishing. Before this change, any update of your articles via M2M would have deleted the links to digital assets within Publishing.

Now the workflow is quite simple:

  1. Send their articles M2M.
  2. Log in to Publishing, upload your digital assets and link them to the article and send the data.
  3. Linked digital assets are kept with your item data, regardless of the Digital Asset Information contained in the M2M CIN.

More Power For The Search Through The Latest Elastic Search 6.4

With release 6.11 we have updated our underlying search index engine Elastic Search to the latest version 6.4. What does this mean in detail?

  1. More speed for every search you trigger in the system.
  2. The search for language-dependent attributes now works properly, i.e. your search will return results where your search term is contained in either the English or German attribute value, or any other language you have entered.
  3. It is now also possible to search for trade-specific values. This means that you will receive all results where your search term is in one of the values dependent on the trading partners.
