Release Scope

New Digital Assets Wizard

Similar to the article creation wizard that we introduced earlier this year, a digital asset creation wizard completes our user interface. The new wizard allows you to upload, define and link digital assets in three easy steps. The wizard will be enhanced in future versions with some useful improvements such as multi-file upload, auto-item linking and much more.

Better visualization of the upload progress of your digital assets

The first step of the wizard allows you to select a file to be uploaded as a digital asset. In the future, this will be replaced by a drop zone that supports the simultaneous upload of multiple files. When a file has been selected for upload, progress bars show the progress of the upload. A green status message confirms the successful upload of your assets, and a red error message informs you of any problems encountered.

Thumbnail preview and save & share in one step

Once you've uploaded digital assets using the new wizard, the second step is to view their thumbnails to make sure you've uploaded the right images. Saving and sharing your digital assets has been combined into one step. Once you have added your assets to the system, all you need to do is send the modified items to which the digital assets have been linked.

Deleting digital assets that are not linked to an object is now possible.

You can now delete digital assets from the system as long as they are not linked to an item. If you want to delete an asset that is still linked, you must first unlink the digital asset from the item (and, if necessary, undo and re-release the publication for the item).

Improved error messages in Excel upload report

Especially when uploading articles via Excel and using the share option, the error messages have been greatly improved. If in the past you received only a simple error why articles could not be saved or shared, you will now receive a transparent error report that contains the reasons for the error.

Approval now classifies your CICs either as warnings only or as errors

Approval will add two new pieces of information to its generated CICs: A correction code containing the note ACTION_NEEDED if errors were detected during the validation process in Approval or WARNING if only warnings were found within the articles.

In addition, the additionalPartyIdentificationTypeCode is set to Approval to identify CICs if they are automatically created as a result of article validation within Approval.
