New configurable CSV report download

Publishing & Approval will offer a fully configurable CSV report download with this release. You can create your own list of attributes that you can extract as a CSV and then download from the hit list.

As a data supplier, you can also benefit from predefined reports, which can be created by a community administrator, for example.

The new functionality can be found in the export menu of the article list. If you choose the new option Download CSV Report, a dialog box opens with a list of all available reports. These are your own reports and any reports provided by a community administrator.

You can add new reports by clicking the appropriate button. The process of configuring a custom report is the same as configuring table columns for the hit list, except that you have a much wider range of attributes to choose from.

You can select all attributes available in the Item Editor to be displayed in the CSV download.

In addition to selecting existing buttons, you now have the option to delete a report (if you are its owner) or download it. If you have selected some articles in the hit list, the download option in the report overview becomes active and you can download these articles with the attributes defined in the report.

For smooth processing please note some restrictions of the download:

  • Language-dependent attributes are only downloaded in the current user language
  • Structured (connected) attributes are downloaded only at the first repetition of each level

Improved Queueing

The algorithm that sets Excel Upload Jobs to one of the four available queues to be processed in parallel has been optimized.

While the old algorithm did not use all four queues in the same way and some queues always had a higher capacity than the others, the new distribution method ensures that all four queues are used much better.

Improved PreCheck messages for Excel upload

We have started to optimize the PreCheck messages for the Excel upload. In case of number or date format errors in Excel cells, PreChecker now refers to the exact row and cell number where the error occurred, instead of just creating an invalid Excel file.
