The fast track to GS1 DQX validation

The GS1 Germany offers two different services for the GS1 DQX visual inspection of your product information.
In most cases, the GS1 DQX ComfortCheck of GS1 Germany is recommended.

GS1 DQX ComfortCheck

The GS1 DQX ComfortCheck is a service of GS1 Germany. Data setters have their product master data checked by this full service of GS1 Germany . The first visual check of a new installation is free of charge if no errors have been identified during the automatic validation. Order here directly via the website of GS1 Germany .

Consumer units in the food and near-food range that are published as new items from May 1rst, 2023 onwards must have a digital visual inspection seal. For this, the data supplier must ensure publication to GS1 DQX for items in the German target market. Excluded from the GS1 DQX validation rule are private labels as well as variable-quantity and unpackaged products.

With this GS1 DQX check, the quality of your product information is officially confirmed: The master data of a product is checked on the basis of automatic checking rules and the inspection of product images and/or layouts and sealed according to the specifications of GS1 Germany (DQX data quality seal). What is GS1 DQX?

GS1 DQX stands for Data Quality Excellence. It is a further development of the Data Quality Gate (DQG). Here, product master data pass through a 2-step verification process and are then virtually sealed.

The GS1 DQX validation rule applies to consumer units in the food and near-food (FMCG) product range for the German target market profile. What is an Allowlist?

The word allow originates from the English language and means to permit. The term Allowlist refers to a key date-related survey of all GLN and GTIN combinations existing in the German GDSN® target market (excl. dealer portals). The GTINs existing in this Allowlist are exempt from the obligation in combination with the respective GLNs, as they are not republished.

Where can I find my DQ report?

You will automatically receive the DQ report once a week from GS1 Germany if you have agreed to this option. You can also download the DQ Report from atrify publishing .
